Recently I had the opportunity to hear Scott Stratten, Author of UnMarketing, speak at the Governor’s Tourism Convention in Phoenix. I was looking forward to hearing him speak because he has a unique message about the waning value of traditional marketing. The essence of his message is that exceptional customer service is more important than ever in a world where people freely share their opinions via social media. Hearing this put a big smile on my face, as he echoed what my team and I at C3 Touch Solutions have been saying for quite some time. 1. Encourage authentic customer service.
2. It’s better to have an active social media presence than to have one and let it go dormant. Stratten states that untouched social media gives a bad impression and should just be deleted.
